This is me in a single seater racing car at Silverstone. My girlfriend is above in the viewing area taking the photo.

I’m both terrified and hugely excited at this point, about to go out for the first time with no pace car. I have never done anything like this before, not even karting. The adrenalin is pumping, mind is racing. Dry mouth, sweaty brow. But ready. Ready for the off…
